I hope that got your attention! Allow me to explain, since we all know money doesn’t grow on trees. The MAWS organization received a generous donation that they would like to give back in the form of scholarship money for the 2018 MAWS conference. They still have more to give! Therefore, the scholarship application deadline has been pushed back to April 14.
What’s keeping you from applying? Here are the top 5 excuses:
- I’m not worthy.
- NONSENSE. You are totally worthy. Apply today!
- Someone else probably needs it worse than I do.
- Well, nothing is stopping them from applying too!
- I’m just a beginner.
- SO MUCH THE BETTER! The MAWS organization is absolutely committed to supporting beginners. We have all been there!
- I’ve been to a lot of conferences already.
- So? A lot of us could say that. Scholarships aren’t just for spring chickens, doncha know. Apply!
- I don’t have any good photos of my work.
- Hey, we get it. We won’t hold that against you. We are nice people who just want you to come to the conference, and we want to make that a little bit easier on your pocketbook.
