Programs
Bozeman Weavers’ Guild holds monthly meetings on the third Saturday of the month, September through May.
Programs are an integral part of the monthly meetings: each month we showcase a particular topic, and the programs feature BWG members, as well as other local and regional fiber artists.
Please see the BWG Event Schedule for monthly meetings & follow the link that says “Meeting Details” to view the upcoming program topics.
Workshops
Workshops are offered on an annual or semi-annual basis and feature both local and nationally-recognized artists.
A workshop is a more involved class on a particular topic and is available to a limited number of participants. Workshops may be offered in-person and/or zoom-linked.
In addition to teaching a workshop, some visiting instructors will also offer a short program during the guild’s monthly meeting.

START A STUDY GROUP!
New study/interest groups are encouraged, using either an in-person or zoom format. A study group can have either a short-term focus and duration (book discussion, how to develop and market original patterns, selvedges) or a more long-term focus and duration such as a specific set of weaving structures (tapestry, deflected double-weave), a fiber-related community effort or equipment/techniques (spinning techniques, riddle heddle looms). Study groups provide a community and support for members interested in that specific topic.
Be creative and brave! If you want to learn more about a specific topic, there are likely others wanting to explore it too. The information noted below may be helpful in developing the study group and posting on the BWG website. Some of this info can be decided at the first meeting of the study group.
- Title
- Brief description of the focus
- Expected duration
- Contact person
- Meeting times (if decided beforehand)
- Format/location (in-person, zoom)
- Resources, books websites, videos (if applicable)
Next steps: if you have an idea, please send info to Teema, Susan or Wendy and we can help circulate and support.
Annual Sale
The BWG holds a one-day holiday sale every December featuring members’ works. The sale showcases handcrafted items including towels, blankets, scarves, wraps, wall hangings, clothing, and hand spun and hand dyed yarns. The date for the 2025 BWG annual sale will be November 29th. For participation instructions, please download this info sheet.
All BWG members are encouraged to participate. This is an outreach effort in addition to an opportunity to sell items to the public and each of you has a unique style and talent that is reflected in your weaving/fiber arts. We want the public to see and appreciate what we, as a guild, ‘do’ and our sale is our platform for doing this.
