Description:

Explore free weaving inspired by Saori philosophy. If you are fairly new to weaving or have fallen into a weaving rut, here is the perfect opportunity to express yourself spontaneously and creatively while having a jolly good time.

 

Bonnie gives an overview of Saori, presents a pile of yarns for the class to sort and select, and then weave on

pre-warped looms students have prepared prior to the workshop.

Level: 

Beginner but, while first time weavers are welcome, he/she must find someone to help them get warped.

Materials Fee: $5


Students Should Bring:
  • Warped loom 10/2 cotton (black or dark color) 3 yd warp sett 12 epi 6-9” wide
  • Shuttles
  • scissors
  • whatever other weaving equipment necessary. If you have a shuttle that takes bobbins, have several bobbins and a bobbin winder.
  • Lots of weft (small bits of leftovers, anything really, the wackier the better).
