Many Colors From Few

Title: Many Colors From Few
Instructor:  Judie Overbeek
Length: ½ day
Class Date: Saturday, June 16
Class Time: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Description:

This class is for anyone who wants to do a bit more with colored fiber.  Whether you are a novice or an expert you can enjoy the process of taking just three colors of wool top and blending them on hand-cards to create an array of 14 or more compatible colors. Spinning them into two-ply yarn samples will give you a good look at what you have accomplished. The organizers provided give you an easy way to see the result of your blending, and will remind you of your process so it can be repeated later.  This kind of color development is especially fun for knitters, tapestry weavers, and rug hookers.  We will be doing two-ply yarn samples, but there is one which is Navajo plied.  If you don’t know how to do that, you can skip it.  You’ll still have a lot of colors to admire.
