Title: Introduction to Lace Knitting

Description:

Knit a scarf and learn all the elements of lace knitting on this easy 4-row pattern. Learn provisional cast-on, yo, mirrored decreases, lifelines, blocking and how to pick out doable lace patterns. Knit in any yarn from lace to sport/dk. Learn to add sideways borders. If you can knit and purl this class is for you. Students will get a good start on the project in class and may use any weight of yarn.

Advanced beginner

Materials Fee: $7


Students Should Bring:
  • One of the following:
    • Lace weight yarn—320 yards and size 3 needle or
    • Fingering/sock yarn–250 yards size 5 needle or
    • Sport/dk–220 yards and size 8 needle or
    • Worsted—200 yards and size 10 needle
  • Stitch markers
  • Crochet hook larger than your needle, if you have one
